Qatari-Egyptian Support to Sudan Health Sector

Egypt’s Ambassador to Sudan, Hani Salah, revealed that his country received more than 400,000 Sudanese due to the war and about 5 million others who were in Egyptian territory before the war, announcing that the Egyptian consulate in Port Sudan is working to accelerate granting sick and elderly visas to enter Egypt.
During his meeting with the Governor of the Red Sea, he reiterated the Egyptian government’s support and assistance to Sudan in various fields, particularly the medical and humanitarian fields.
He referred to an Egyptian-Qatari initiative to support the health sector in Sudan in general and the Red Sea in particular.
He said that Egypt will provide all support to Osman Digna Hospital and that it will work hard to develop it to provide up to par medical services in this port Sudan .
