Minerals: Addressing Mining Challenges in Red Sea

The Minister of Minerals, Mohammed Bashir Abu Namo, reaffirmed the government’s interest in increasing production and maximizing revenues, pledging, during his meeting with the governor of Red Sea State, to address all issues related to mining activity in the Red Sea State, stressing the provision of all aspects of cooperation to stabilize mining activity in the state.
The Minister pointed out that the Red Sea State is one of the leading states in gold production, and has a number of large companies working in the field.
For his part, the acting governor of the Red Sea State, (R) Staff Major General, Mustafa Mohammed, thanked the minister for the visit, and stressed his cooperation with the Ministry of Minerals to achieve common goals and work on to increase production to support the economy.
