Social media circulated a video clip of poet Dalia Elias bursting into tears at a celebration in Cairo, during which she recited a poem telling about her longing for Khartoum and memories of the places. The poem tells of beautiful memories that ended with looting, vandalism, and diaspora, but the pain did not allow her to complete the recitation and she burst into tears.
