Real Madrid Renews Contract of Coach Ancelotti

Real Madrid, the Spanish football club, announced today, Friday, that club has renewed the contract of the Italian coach, Carlo Ancelotti, until 2026. The Royal Club said in a statement, “Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti agreed to extend our coach’s contract until June 30, 2026.” Ancelotti returned to Real Madrid in 2021 and had previously coached the club from 2013 to 2015.
The announcement of the extension of his contract, which is to expire next summer, came as a surprise at a time when the former coach of Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich, Germany, is a candidate to be the first foreign coach for the Brazilian national team in nearly sixty years, and to lead the “Seleção” after the upcoming Copa America in United States (from June 20 toJuly 14.
Ancelotti won every possible title with Real Madrid since his first period on the Merengue bench (2013-2015), before his return in 2021. He added two Champions League titles (2014, 2022), a league title (2022) and two titles in the King’s Cup competition. (2014, 2023) to the Madrid club record.
Real Madrid leads the Spanish League after 18 stages and has reached the eighth final of the prestigious continental competition, where it will face German Leipzig.
