Launch of King Salman Centre’s Grant for Sudan

Today, the King Salman Centre for Relief and Humanitarian Aid launched a grant totalling 1,150 tons at the Medical Supplies facility in Port Sudan, the capital of the Red Sea State in eastern Sudan.
Following the launch, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jafar, stated that this support is in line with the directives of the Kingdom’s leadership. He added that Saudi Arabia stands with Sudan to face its challenges.
In addition, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, the Acting Federal Minister of Health, noted that Saudi support has been ongoing. In the recent past, Sudan has received 60 containers of refrigerated medicines, and he emphasised that the total support exceeds 1,150 tons, with over 70% of it consisting of medical supplies and medicines. He also mentioned the presence of generators for healthcare facilities.
