The Army Repels an Attack on the General Command HQ for the Fifth Consecutive Day

Khartoum – Sudan Event

On Wednesday, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked the General Command headquarters of the Sudanese army in Khartoum for the fifth consecutive day from several directions, in addition to shelling the headquarters with heavy artillery.

The army managed to repel attacks by the RSF on the army’s command headquarters in the centre of Khartoum from the southern side, originating from the area surrounding Khartoum International Airport and the Kober Bridge.

The Rapid Support Forces have been attempting to breach the General Army Command since the beginning of the current week through intensive military operations, but the army forces entrenched in the headquarters have so far succeeded in repelling the successive attacks.

The intensity of military battles between the two parties in the capital, Khartoum, has increased in several different areas.

The army’s artillery also targeted the positions of the RSF in the Jabal Awlia suburb, located south of Khartoum, and in the areas east of the Nile.

Additionally, there were positions of the RSF in the vicinity of the Sports City and the military camps southeast of Khartoum.
