National medicinal factories are granted permission to operate in the states

The National Council for Drugs and Poisons has permitted all registered and licensed medicine national factories to produce human and veterinary medicines whether registered or which their files have been submitted to the Council, in whole or in part, in any of the states of Sudan.
The General Secretariat of the Council confirmed in a press circular that the approval includes establishing a factory or manufacturing any stage of manufacturing or packaging in accordance with the previously announced good manufacturing requirements. The factories also has the right to establish branches in the states after obtaining approval from the Council.
The Secretariat directed the directors of branches in the states to assist in working to establish a national pharmaceutical industry in the states in coordination with the state authorities.
It is noteworthy that the Sudanese pharmaceutical industry was affected by the ongoing war between the army and the Rapid Support rebels, as factories were subjected to looting and fire
