A global grant to Sudan to combat malaria, tuberculosis and AIDS for the next three years

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Sudan is committed to supporting the Federal Ministry of Health to overcome the challenges ahead by continuing to support the activities of tuberculosis, AIDS and malaria programs, strengthening the health system and basic health care, and continuing projects that began before the war.

During the meeting with the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, in the Port Sudan Quarantine Centre, Thaer Shreidah, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program, confirmed the continuation of support and partnership, congratulating the Ministry on approving the proposal submitted to the program for a global support grant to combat malaria, AIDS, and tuberculosis for the next three years. Pointing out that the proposal was prepared in difficult and complex circumstances.

The Minister praised the efforts of the program in Sudan, announcing the continuation of joint cooperation and overcoming all obstacles facing the program.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties stressed the importance of joint cooperation and working to benefit from the grants provided by the program.
