Clashes Between Army and the Rapid Support Forces in Al-Ailafoun

Today, the city of Al-Ailfoun, east of the capital, Khartoum, witnessed violent clashes between the army and the rebel Rapid Support Forces, which led to the death of 2 citizens and the injury of dozens.

Eyewitnesses said that the rebels carried out extensive theft and looting of citizens’ cars and property, especially in the northern neighborhoods of the area, “Al-Safa” and “Al-Imtidhad”.

They warned that the rebel forces had established outposts in the main streets of those neighborhoods.

They pointed out that the people of Al-Aylafoun began a mass exodus to the villages east of the Nile, especially Al-Asailat, Abu Saleh, Abu Deliq, and Wad Hassouna.
