October 15th Opening Date for Sudanese Universities

The Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, announced the opening of governmental and private institutions of higher education and scientific research on October 15, and the resumption of all academic activities.

Dahab said, according to a letter addressed to the directors of public and private universities and the deans of private colleges, that the opening of the universities came based on the letter of the Minister of Cabinet Affairs issued today, October 7.

The Minister of Cabinet Affairs directed the opening of universities in states where security conditions allow for this, as well as schools, no later than the end of this October.
