Federal Ministry of Health Announces Arrival of Dialysis for Kidney Patients

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, announced the arrival of dialysis for kidney patients on October 17, revealing arrangements to purchase life-saving medicines with funding from the Ministry of Finance, as well as arrangements with health partners to provide dialysis machines.
During his meeting with the governor-designate of Kassala, Khojali Hamad, in his office today in the quarantine in Port Sudan, Ibrahim directed that the necessary precautions be put in place to combat the expected epidemics in the state. He also promised the provision of health services, pointing to the provision of medicines and medical consumables through grants from countries and organizations and funding from the federal finances. He pointed out that the state received 170 tons, while providing 3 types of insulin through medical supplies, in addition to blood transfusion services and some surgical consumables.
In addition, the governor stressed the need for help, especially for kidney diseases and surgery, and some basic and life-saving medications, while Kassala Hospital needs an additional anaesthesia machine.
