UNHCR Provides Medical Equipment to the White Nile

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees provided a number of diagnostic devices for heart diseases to the White Nile State.
The head of the commission in the state, Mr. Ruel Christopher, said that the agencies are in partnership with United Nations organizations working in the state to reduce the pressure on health institutions, especially since they receive large numbers of refugees from South Sudan and those arriving from Khartoum State.
Christopher thanked the state community for hosting the arrivals and refugees, considering the difficult circumstances that Sudan is going through. He also thanked them for providing them with the necessary services.
The governor-designate, Omar Al-Khalifa, confirmed after receiving the devices (Monday) in the UNHCR’s warehouses, of the great role it has played in providing humanitarian aid and supporting service projects. He added that the devices provided represent needed assistance for health work.
