Governor of Darfur Region Calls for Attention to Sudanese Creatives

The Governor of the Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minawi, has called for attention to be given to Sudanese creatives amid the country’s challenging circumstances due to the ongoing war.
Minawi stated in a message to the creatives received by Sudan Event, ‘Given the harsh conditions imposed on our people, including displacement and refuge, as a result of the ongoing war in various parts of Sudan, affecting more areas day by day, there is a group of creatives in all forms, including singers, poets, composers, musicians, actors, writers, visual artists, filmmakers, photographers, and athletes in various sports.’
He added, ‘This does not mean that we neglect the problems of other groups in education and health, and there is no space to accommodate everyone.’
Minawi emphasised the need to give special attention to these creatives because they are the most vulnerable and sensitive, and some still have uncertain futures.
