Russia Contacts Sudan’s Foreign Minister

During a phone call with Sudan’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov renewed his country’s commitment to Sudan’s sovereignty, the integrity of its territory, and the need to stop hostilities in Sudan as a step toward a political solution. During the phone call with Bogdanov, who is also the Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, both sides exchanged views on the crisis in Sudan due to the dissolved Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. Sudan’s Foreign Minister presented the latest developments and highlighted the ongoing physical violations by the dissolved militia. The two parties also discussed the situation in the Middle East resulting from the military confrontations between Palestinians and Israelis. The Foreign Minister emphasised the rights of the Palestinian people and the importance of adhering to and abiding by international legitimacy resolutions, including their right to self-determination.
