Urgent Appeal for Action against Human Rights Violations by the Rapid Support Force RSF (Janjaweed) in Sudan
Sudan Events
An appeal to condemn RSF militia violations in Sudan issued today by a group Sudanese addressing UK prime minister
Rishi Sunak, the Prime . The appeal said (
We are writing on behalf of the Sudanese community residing in the United Kingdom UK who have been deeply concerned and saddened by the ongoing human rights violations and the recent genocide in West Darfur committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and its allies, resulting in the death of Governor Khamis Abakar based on ethnicity).
The Sudanese community in the UK stands united in our protest in London today to express our condemnation of the atrocities, including killings, looting, and rape committed by the Rapid Support Forces RSF
The situation in Sudan, especially in the capital, Khartoum, and West Darfur, has reached a critical point where innocent lives are being lost daily, and countless individuals have suffered unimaginable atrocities. These heinous acts have been well-documented and confirmed by various humanitarian organizations, including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International. Therefore, the United Kingdom UK should take stronger measures against the violations of the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan and consider it a terrorist organization.
We humbly request that the UKU government, under your esteemed leadership, takes immediate and decisive action to address this grave humanitarian crisis in Sudan. Our primary concerns and appeals are as follows:
End Human Rights Violations:
We urge the UK government to use its diplomatic influence and resources to pressure the Sudanese authorities to halt all human rights violations, protect civilians, and ensure the safety of innocent lives.
Humanitarian Aid for Refugees:
As a result of the conflict in Sudan, many innocent civilians have been forced to flee their homes and seek refuge. We appeal for humanitarian aid and support for Sudanese refugees, both within Sudan and those who have sought shelter abroad, to alleviate their suffering and provide them with the necessary essentials.
Justice for the Victims:
We call for justice for the victims of these atrocities and for those responsible to be held accountable for their actions.
Support for a Democratic Transition:
The Sudanese people are striving for a democratic government that respects human rights and upholds the rule of law. We request the UK government’s support in helping the Sudanese people achieve this goal through peaceful means.
Dear Prime Minister Mr. Sunak,
The Sudanese community in the UK deeply appreciates your leadership and the longstanding commitment of the United Kingdom to human rights, democracy, and international justice. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
