Egypt Urges Afwerki to Continue Consultations on Sudan

The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said that President Field Marshal Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today, Saturday, with Othman Saleh, the Eritrean Foreign Minister, and Yemane Gebre Ab, the Eritrean President’s Advisor for Political Affairs. “Fahmy” told reporters that the Egyptian President discussed in the meeting with the Eritrean envoys the latest relevant regional developments of mutual interest, especially concerning the files of the Horn of Africa and the situation in Sudan. Sisi urged Eritrea to continue consultations at various levels to follow up on these developments to support the region’s security and stability.
