Appointment of New General Manager to SMRC

Sudan Events – Rehab AbduAlah 

Minister of Minerals, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC), Mohamed Bashir Abu Namu, has issued a decision according to which Osman Sulieman Hammad is appointed as temporary General Manager of the SMRC till the appointment of new General Manager.

It is worth noting that the Transitional Cabinet has issued a decree according to the Constitutional Document of 2019. According to Decree 104, published in 2021, the tasks given by the cabinet General Manager of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mubarak Abdul Rahman Ahmed (Ardol), was relieved from his position as of 15 October 2023 as per the recommendations of the Minister of Minerals.
