River Nile State Launches Environmental Pilot Project

A meeting was held in the office of the River Nile State Governor during which the final touches for launching Dr. Hassan Hilal’s Environmental Pilot Project, which will take place in Berber in the presence of the Governor and the whole cabinet of River Nile State
The launch will be tomorrow, Tuesday.
Berber was chosen due to its symbolism in Sudan’s history.
Dr. Hassan Hilal Environmental Pilot Project aims at the plantation of 3 million Acacia Senegal Trees in River Nile State to help overcome climate change and environmental challenges.
The launching will be the cornerstone for national strategic policies besides adapting national plans to invest in land use based on appropriate ecological and environmental principles.
