Sudan Events – Talal Mudathir

Collaborative effort between the Global Humanitarian Health Organization Project (HOPE) Airlink and Qatar Airways have succeeded in securing the delivery of $13 million humanitarian aid to Sudan.

The organization said in a statement on Thursday that the weight of these supplies reaches 24 thousand tons and will support more than 100,000 people throughout Sudan.

“This partnership embodies the essence of humanitarian work where non-profit organizations and businesses come together to share resources and knowledge to reach those most in need of support,” the organization added in the statement.

Project HOPE will work with the Sudanese American Medical Association to oversee the distribution of the shipment, ensuring that hospitals and health facilities facing the most serious shortages are prioritized to continue their vital work.

It is worth noting that Project HOPE is an international non-governmental health and humanitarian aid organization founded in the United States in 1958.

Project HOPE works in five main areas: disasters and health crises, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, maternal, newborn and child health, and health policy.
