Promises from Sudanese Government to Support Businessmen

Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah

The Sudanese government pledged to support the private sector by removing all obstacles facing Sudanese exports, imports, and industries.

During his meeting (Thursday) with Sudanese businessmen in Egypt, Minister of Finance Dr. Gibreel promised that his ministry would address the issue of fees imposed on Sudanese industries. The meeting discussed the general business situation and the accompanying impacts since the beginning of the war in Sudan on April 15.

Businessmen complained about the challenges facing businesses, including the flow of Sudanese exports and the effects that accompanied the sharp decline in the export of a number of goods.

In addition, factory owners revealed that they had moved their factories abroad or were in the process of moving their factories abroad, which had been damaged by bombing and theft. A full explanation was also given to the Minister about the extent of the damage resulting from the war in the industrial sector and the negative effects on the economy as a whole.
