Zain Sudan Conducts Confusing Update

The latest unannounced change made by Zain Company, one of the companies providing mobile phone and Internet services in Sudan, to the code designated for inquiring about customer balances needs to be clarified for users.

Today, the company updated its historical code “*888#”, which remained reserved to inquire about the remaining balance on the prepaid SIM cards so that it will change to the code “*501#” as of today.

The company did not warn customers about the balance verification code it used, which affected a number of users, most notably those working in the balance transfer service.
