OCHA Announces Increase of Casualties in Sudan

Agencies – Sudan Events

Office of Humanitarian Affairs Commission(OCHA ) announced in press statements on Tuesday that about 9000 persons have been killed in the war between SAF and the rebel RSF militia in Sudan since mid-April. Another one preceded the statistics of casualties noted that there are 25 million persons in need of humanitarian aid. In contrast, recent statistics showed that 19 million children were out of school, and 1,200 children under five years were killed in refugee camps between May and September because of disease and malnutrition.

This critical situation led the OCHA office to say that Sudan is faltering after six months of war.

The two conflicted parts of the war will resume negotiations next Thursday to cease war in the coastal city of Jeddah following the stop of negotiations for more than three months.
