UNICEF Announces Commitment to Provide Schools’ Requirements

The UNICEF office director in Gezira State affirmed the continuation of cooperation with the state in education, health and drinking water issues, confirming their commitment to supporting the educational sector and providing the schools ‘schools’ requirements to resume the school year.
For his part, Gezira State Acting Governor Ismael Alaqib revealed the formation of a committee to deal with the challenges facing the resumption of the school year and setting a realistic study, announcing ongoing arrangements to solve the teachers’ salaries and finding other places for the IDPs who fled the war in Khartoum, besides the possibility to accommodate 40 thousand students from Khartoum State.
