Federal Health: Approval of Sudan’s Proposal to Combat Malaria, Tuberculosis and AIDS, Worth $151 Million

The Federal Ministry of Health has begun writing a grant plan for the Global Support Fund for Malaria, Tuberculosis and AIDS for the next three years (2024-2026), amounting to $151 million.

The acting Minister, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, revealed in the plan writing workshop in the hall of the Plus Hotel in the city of Port Sudan, east of the country (Thursday), the approval of Sudan’s proposal to combat the three diseases, which was submitted to the Global Support Fund, which continued to support despite the complex situation in the country, noting that Spherea held the first meeting with Members and management of the Fund discussed the grant arrangements and the operational plan and facilitated its implementation in line with the country’s need and the situation of the three diseases, with a focus on strengthening the health system.

The workshop, which will last until November 8, will participate in the workshop, along with the relevant authorities and the project unit from the United Nations Development Programme.
