UNITAMS :Security Council Holds a Session On Sudan

Sudan Events – Sumaya Sayed

United Nations Integrated Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS) announced on Sunday that the UN Security Council will hold a session next Thursday to discuss the situation in Sudan.

The UN Resident Coordinator in Sudan, Clementine Nkweta Salami, said that Sudan would witness an “unprecedent crisis,” noting that “the atrocities occurring in Sudan are approaching pure evil, and words cannot describe them.”

She added: “If we do not act now, Sudan risks turning into a long-term crisis where there is little hope and even fewer expectations.”
