America is angry for its failure in Sudan

Sudan Events -Talal Mudathir

A statement issued by Republican representatives in the US Senate and House of Representatives held President Biden’s administration responsible for the failure of US efforts regarding Sudan in Jeddah with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia repeatedly, describing its diplomatic strategy as “ineffective” and leading to the empowerment of the warring parties that have continually reneged on their promises.
US Senator Jim Risch, Republican of Idaho, ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and US Representative Michael McCaul, Republican of Texas, and Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said in their statement on Thursday, that the war in Sudan proves that the United States needs to expand its efforts beyond Jeddah and engage with a wide range of regional and international partners, especially forging important partnerships with African leaders who are dedicated to establishing a peaceful, civilian-led future in Sudan.
In the statement, Rish and McCall touched on the atrocities and attacks launched by the Rapid Support militia in Darfur, targeting specific ethnicities.
For his part, the former American diplomat interested in African affairs, Cameron Hudson, commented on the statement through his personal account on the “X” platform, describing it as a “strong” statement and considering it to carry a veiled rebuke of Gulf’s efforts to resolve the crisis.
