The Ministry of Trade Okay the Import of Packing Materials

The Minister of Trade and Supply, Al-Fatih Abdullah Yousif, announced the formation of a committee in the ministry that will act as commodity councils in setting indicative prices for exports and addressing their problems. Upon his meeting (Thursday) with the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce, which included Ahmed Al-Tayeb Al-Annan and Issam Fadlallah, he agreed to represent exporters in the committee.
He announced his approval to include packing materials for export (export bags) by allowing their import among priority goods.
The Minister approved the inclusion of packing materials for export (export sacks) by allowing their import among priority goods.
It was agreed with the exporters to choose a steering committee for exporters to be approved by the ministry and official authorities to be a legitimate representative of exporters in state offices. He stressed cooperation between the ministry and the Chamber of Commerce in organizing and purifying the records of exporters from saboteurs of the economy under the export umbrella, and emphasized supporting the position of exporters to reach an appropriate formula that takes into account the circumstances of both parties.
