Mining Surveying Fees Reduced

The Governor of the Northern State, Al-Baqir Ahmed Ali, issued (Wednesday), hours before his dismissal from his position, a decision to reduce the cadastral fees for receiving concession company squares in the state, by more than 50%, in response to the request submitted by the management of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, to encourage investment, facilitate the work of companies in order to complete the receipt procedures until December 30, 2023 and work in the state to supply the state treasury with production.
The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company had previously submitted a request to the state governor to reduce fees, which were cut to 50%, within the framework of full cooperation and coordination between the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company and the northern state government.
This was presented by the senior management of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, which thanked the Governor of the Northern State, Al-Baqir Ahmed Ali, for the response and coordination in mining issues in the state, noting that the decision would encourage companies to complete the procedures and work to increase production, meanwhile the company’s senior management pledged to make more efforts to overcome the obstacles facing investment in the mining sector.
