Billion Dollars Losses in Industry Sector

Former Secretary-General of the Federation of Sudanese Industrial Chambers, Ashraf Salah, has revealed that preliminary reports about losses sustained by the industrial sector, as a result of the war between the army and the Rapid Support Militia, exceed ten billion dollars.
He added that this loss is also coupled with cessation of production for 8 months, stressing that damage is huge and could not be accurately ascertained until when the war stops. He said a tour on the ground has shown that there is a need to end the war immediately which would help people conduct a survey and make an inventory of the losses.
He added, “We add our voice to those calling for an end to the war.”
