Tahiya Zarrouk is an actress, theater and radio director from an Omdurman family, some of whose members were involved in politics and art (she is the sister of the story teller and writer Tayeb Zarrouk). She graduated from the Higher Institute of Music and Theater in 1975 – in acting and directing.

Tahiya’s name was associated with central and important works in the Sudanese theater, “The Engagement of Suheir ” as well as her radio eorkd with dramatic and qualitative performance that had a special status in the process of radio drama, such as “Al-Haraz and Al-Matar” by Hashim Siddiq, and the series “The Engagement of Suheir” by Hamdna Allah Abdul Qadir. Tahiya was associated with distinguished directors such as Saladin Al-Fadil and Makki Sinada, and she also has works in national television and is the owner of a major work in the television drama series “Hands of Destiny.”
She married Patrice Magee, who worked as a professor at the University of Khartoum.
She worked with actress Balqis Awad in a play “Daffodils.” This play won more than one award, which led her to win the Grand Prize in the year 1973 AD, and another Egyptian-Sudanese work, “They Kill the Groom,” and many works, the last of which was the television series “Houses of Fire.” » It is the last work of the late Professor Mohamed Khairy Hamed
In 2013, after an absence that lasted for a number of years, she starred in a television movie, “Greetings and Respect,” which was filmed in America. It was written by Qusay Al-Samani and directed by Abu Bakr Al-Sheikh. The film aims to celebrate Tahiya Zarrouk, in which she played the starring role. Tahiyya Zarrouk now lives in Canada – Saint Catherine.
