Sudan Participates in the African Economic Conference

The Managing Director of the Sudanese Free Zones and Duty Free Company, Omar Mohamed Sheikh El-Din, described the annual conference of economic zones in Africa, which was held in the Moroccan city of Tangier under the auspices of the African Union, as a success.

Sheikh El-Din said in a  statements that the conference was an opportunity through which we reflected on important issues and facts about Sudan, in particular , the preferential features of Sudan, such as its geographical and strategic location as an important gateway to the African continent, in addition to the enormous capabilities and wealth that Sudan enjoys in the minerals, livestock and agriculture sectors, which enable it to be the world’s food basket.

Sheikh Al-Din said that he presented a scientific paper during the  conference  reviewing  the  government’s efforts to advance these wealth and how to invest them through contracting smart companies with the international and regional community, noting in this regard the importance of forming an African-Arab economic entity that develops and enhances Arab-African economic cooperation by establishing chambers of commerce and industry to plan, follow up and supervise the implementation of projects ,the giant in the Arab and African regions to achieve self-sufficiency for the Arab and African peoples.

The Managing Director of the Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Free Markets, said that the conference highlighted the efforts made by the Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Free Markets as one of the largest government companies and  supporting  the national economy, pointing to the new developments organized by the company, which were dictated by the conditions of keeping up and developing the regions and improving the free markets in order to achieve the state’s vision for the Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Free Markets to be a major supporter of the country’s treasury, and a real impetus for the progress of the economy.

It is worth noting the  conference was attended by major international companies and think tanks of economic zones, which presented scientific and technical working papers that were discussed extensively by the participants.
