The Sudanese General Intelligence Service confirmed that it will not stand idly by without participating with the army in its battle against the Rapid Support Militia.
Major General Muhammad Abbas Al-Labib, Director of the Anti-Terrorism and Organized Crime Authority of the General Intelligence Service, revealed in a speech in the presence of the Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Yasser Al-Atta, yesterday, Monday, “We in the agency have called upon ourselves to support and assist the armed forces, and we should not be spectators or observers at this time,
it rather requires us we be with them in the field.” He said.
Al-Labib revealed a state of harmony between all the regular forces, noting that it was the first time that the intelligence service had fought side by side with the Central Reserve Forces and the Armed Forces in one battle and in one location, which constituted a good model for the regular forces and for Sudan.
The Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, General Yasser Al-Atta, paid a visit yesterday, Monday, to the General Intelligence Service and the Central Reserve at their camp in the city of Omdurman, in the presence of the head of the Anti-Terrorism and Organized Crime Authority of the Sudanese General Intelligence Service.
