Differences with Mining Companies to settled

The Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, Mohamed Taher Omar, pledged to resolve all disputes between local communities and mining companies to create a work environment for companies and achieve community satisfaction.
Taher said during his meeting (Tuesday) with representatives of the Committee of the People of the Wadi Al-Aushar area and representatives of Alliance Mining Company, in the presence of the Executive Director besides the Ministry of Minerals, consultant geologist, Ahmed Haroun Al-Toum, said that the current stage requires concerted efforts and more production to confront the present situation of the country.
Mohammad Taher stressed the government is keen to preserve the rights of the local communities hosting mining activities, and to overcome all difficulties facing companies and investors, promising that the disputes of the Wadi Al-Aushar area with the Alliance Mining Company would be resolved soon.
