Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah

The head of the Sudan Farmers Association – Rain Sector, Gahreeg Kambal, revealed the emergence of signs of famine and food scarcity in some areas of Sudan suffering from crises and war, pointing out in his interview with (Sudan Events) that some citizens will not feel it due to their distance from production areas.
Gahreeg did not rule out the occurrence of a major food shortage, noting that some production areas suffer from low prices through the dominance and exploitation of merchants and brokers and attempts to exploit the product. He revealed that the cotton crop this year achieved very weak productivity, noting that the areas of the corn crop had shrunk by 40%, stating that it is an important factor and affects the issue of famine, in addition to the exposure of crops grown from it to a very fierce attack by pests, locusts and birds.
