Civil society organizations in Darfur have initiated efforts to stop the war, bring peace to Sudan, and strive seriously to create a healthy society that enjoys security and stability.
Youth for Darfur (Mashad) launched a national campaign to promote social peace and combat hate speech in the Darfur region with a workshop it organized today, Saturday, in the Al-Lait Jar Al-Nabi area, in North Darfur state.
The organization proposed the workshop based on meeting the social and national requirements needed by the citizens, in light of the circumstances witnessed by the country in general and the Darfur region in particular. The activities will be spread to include all areas of the region, and then move to outreach the rest of the country.
The head of Youth for Darfur (Mashad), Ahmed Abdullah Ismail, explained that the campaign aims to raise awareness in local communities, train youths to be ambassadors for peace and development in their villages and rural areas, preach a culture of peace and tolerance, combat hate speech, and participate in building the nation
