Calls for Changing Investment Laws

Farmers in Gadarif state have stressed the need to change the current investment laws and to give the agricultural sector preferential treatment to help it play the desired role in providing the national coffer with hard currency it badly needs
Speaking for the farmers of the state, Ahmed Abdul Rahim Al Awad has urged for encouraging agricultural investment and removing the countless hurdles and fees imposed, besides offering investors the chance to invest in road construction based on the Boot approach.
Meanwhile a number of agricultural experts have forecast high productivity in sorghum, watermelon and sunflower this season. The farmers have stressed the need to probe the possibility of joint cooperation and of taking into account the concerns and demands put forwards by the stakeholders when amending the investment laws.
