A group of Sudanese artists participated in the activities of the Rush Mural Art Festival, which is being organised in its second edition in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, and was organized by the Visual Arts Authority and supervised by the Saudi Ministry of Culture.
Among the most prominent Sudanese artists who participated in the exhibition was Abdullah Abbas, a graphic designer residing in Riyadh, whose artistic journey was based on exploring personal and social identity, and learning about the rich visual heritage to reveal visions and build concepts. Sudanese artist Alaa Sater also participated in the Rush Mural Art Festival, She is a cartoonist who graduated as an architect from the University of Khartoum. She has made exceptional contributions that changed the field of art, as she began her artistic work in 2017 AD through “Morning Cartoons,” which dealt with a mixture of popular topics such as women’s concerns, social media, and political events.
Its creative portfolio includes two-dimensional wall drawings of all sizes, in addition to three-dimensional sculptures that touch the souls of the masses, and its artwork and small sculptures also celebrate the diverse and multi-faceted nature of mural art.
