Customs Authorities Reveal New Action Plan

Director of Customs Police, Adam Al-Nur Hasab al Kareem spelt out the road map for customs work in the post-war period.
He stressed in press statements on Tuesday that they would work to make the maximum possible benefit from developing border crossings points with neighboring countries and promoting cooperation and joint exchange agreements with these countries in the commercial, economic and technical aspects, as well as exchanging information and expertise with a special focus on securing borders.
He pointed out to several lessons learned from the war, stressing the need to expand border crossings in order to help increase and develop the resources and contribute to the advancement of local communities and to promote exports.
He said neighboring countries are in need of Sudan’s riches, including agricultural crops, livestock, mineral wealth, and all other economic resources, while emphasizing the urgent need for tightening control and coordination between all relevant authorities.
