UNHCR: More Sudanese Heading to Egypt

The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), celebrated the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence with various awareness-raising events across Egypt, including an event attended by 200 refugees including women, men and children in Cairo.
Regarding Sudan, the UNHCR said on Wednesday that 370,000 Sudanese and 8,504 individuals of other nationalities, meaning a total of about 378,504 people have crossed into Egypt since the beginning of the crisis in the Sudan, according to the Egyptian government.
The total number of regular daily influx from Sudan for all nationalities has increased by an average of 364 in November, compared to 338 in October. The daily number of Sudanese arrivals has increased from 199 to 244 between October and November.
The UNHCR in Egypt has so far registered 114,000 new arrivals from Sudan, 90 percent of them are Sudanese nationals.
