IOC Reduces Qualified Russian for the Paris Olympics

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has changed the number of the qualified Russians for the 2024 Olympic Games, according to updated data on the organization’s website.

It was previously reported that 8 Russian and 3 Belarusian athletes qualified for the 2024 Olympics.

However, the updated statement indicates that only 6 Russian and 5 Belarusian athletes have been accepted so far.

At the same time, athletes who support the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, or who have connections to the armed forces or security services of Russia and Belarus, will not be allowed to participate in the Games, and representatives of team sports will also miss the tournament.
