Golovin Voted Best Football Player in Russia

Coaches of Russian Premier League clubs chose Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin as the country’s best footballer for 2023. Voting was organized by Sport Express magazine.
Eight coaches voted for Golovin in first place, while two coaches chose the midfielder in second and third place, another coach considered that Golovin deserved fourth place on the list of the best players.
In total, Golovin scored 56 points and topped the list by a large margin.
Colombian striker John Cordoba from Krasnodar came in second place (22 points), and the top three was rounded off by Brazilian Wendel from Zenit Petersburg (19).
This season, Golovin played 14 matches in the French League, scoring five goals and making two assists. After 14 matches in the domestic league, Monaco occupies third place in the standings.
