Al-Ahly Revives Treasury by $2 Million

The Egyptian Al-Ahly Club guaranteed at least two million dollars after qualifying for the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, by defeating the Saudi Jeddah Al-Ittihad Club with a score of 3-1 in the quarter-finals of the tournament, yesterday evening, Friday.
According to the FIFA website, the winner of the Club World Cup gets $5 million, compared to $4 million for the runner-up, while the third-place winner gets $2.5 million, compared to $2 million for the fourth-place finisher, while the fifth-place finisher gets $1.5 million, compared to $1 million for the sixth fourth-place finisher, and half a million dollars for the seventh place.
