The Governor of the Nile River State, Muhammad Al-Badawi Abdel Majid,has denied, in his capacity as Chairman of the State Security Committee, that his state was exposed to any threats from its borders, which are secure with its people and leaders.
He stressed that Shendi locality is fortified with the cohesion of its local community, and that the armed forces, represented by the 3rd Infantry Division and other regular forces, are performing their role in coordination and as a single system. He confirmed while chairing the meeting of the state government’s Council of Ministers in its extraordinary session held today (Wednesday) in Shendi locality, in the presence of the artillery commander.
Atbara, the commander of the 3rd Infantry Division, Shendi, members of the state government and Shendi locality, and the security, police, official, civil, and popular leaders in the locality, that people in the state and Shendi locality are vigilant against circulation of negative rumors, that they should raise morale, and coordinate the security, official, and popular efforts with the armed forces in one trench, to provide for the borders.
He said the imposed war is a media war led by hired men who are tracking its paths through electronic circuits from other countries that do not hope for stability for the country and its people. The governor warned against paying attention to rumours.
