Yemeni Champion of Under 17 Asian Competition

The Yemeni under-17 team won the West Asian Junior Championship Cup in its ninth edition, after winning on penalties over the Saudi team in the match that brought them together in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Yemeni team took the lead in the 11th minute of the match, while the Saudi team equalized in the 77th minute.

The two teams went to penalty kicks, ending in favor of the Yemeni team with a score of 3/2.

With this result, Yemen is crowned champion for the second time in its history in the West Asian Championship for juniors under the age of 17 years.

The Yemen national team won the West Asian Championship for the first time in 2021 on penalties against Saudi Arabia.
