A ninety old woman obtains a master’s degree

A grandmother from the American state of Texas achieved her lifelong dream. At the age of 90, she obtained a master’s degree from one of the state’s universities, about 73 years after she graduated from high school.
According to a statement issued by the University of North Texas UNT, a copy of which was obtained by the American magazine People, Minnie Payne received her degree last Sunday, after becoming the oldest person to complete her education.
During the graduation ceremony, Payne accompanied her grandson as she walked across the stage, according to the 24 website. In a statement to a local television channel that covered the events of the party, she said that the administration and colleagues at the university treated her as if she were one of them.
Last July, Payne was informed of her success after discussions with the scientific body.
She said in a statement to the magazine that this achievement gave her great happiness and raised the level of her academic and personal life, and she considered that this graduation is not the end of her educational journey because she intends to continue learning as long as she is still physically and mentally capable.
