Egyptian Super Cup Sets New Record

Abu Dhabi – Sudan Events

The match between Future Club and Pyramids scored a record number of penalty kicks, with a total of 34 kicks, before the match ended with a score of 13/14, after regular time ended in a goalless draw, in a confrontation that was held on the grounds of Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, on Monday, in the semi-finals of the Championship of Egyptian Super Cup.

The two teams did not succeed in scoring throughout the 90 minutes, so they resorted to penalty kicks, which Future Club decided in their favour, and the final scene arrives.

The penalty shootout achieved a record number, as the two teams executed 34 kicks, 17 for each team, and Future Club succeeded in scoring 14 kicks compared to 13 for Pyramids Club.

The Egyptian Super Cup tournament will be held in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, with a new system this year, with 4 clubs participating in the tournament in its current version, while the tournament was played in a single-match system previously.

Future Club set a date in the final of the tournament, with the winner of the confrontation between Al-Ahly Club and Ceramica Cleopatra Club.
