The activities of the Third International Mining Conference will begin next January 9 in Riyadh to enhance cooperation and direct coordination between countries in geological surveying to achieve common goals.
The CEO of the Saudi Geological Survey Authority (SGSA), Engineer Abdullah Al-Shamrani, explained that this is an important international forum between leaders and heads of surveying bodies from all countries of the world; It focuses on benefiting from international capabilities in the field of surveying and mining exploration, and exchanging views and proposals to meet the challenges facing geological survey work, mineral exploration, developing the necessary solutions for sustainability practices, in addition to identifying the geological capabilities available among countries.
He stressed the SGSA’s effort through this forum is to unify viewpoints in filling the geological survey gaps facing different institutions to enable growth in the field of exploration, help extract appropriate quantities of minerals to meet global demand and need, identify priority areas for surveying and sources of funding, as well as access to reliable geological data to attract investment in the field of exploration and mineral production.
