Gadarif Workers receive one-month salary

The Gadarif state government announced that it will begin distributing a month’s salary to workers in the state tomorrow (Wednesday).
The Acting governor of Gadarif, Mohamed Abdel-Rahman Mahjoub, was briefed during his meeting (Tuesday) by the Director General of the Ministry of Finance and Manpower, Najat Ahmed Mohamed, and the Director of the Unified Collection Authority in the state on the arrangements prepared to start giving workers the salary, after the arrival of part of the financial transfers from the federal government and the state government’s commitment to supplement the remaining amount.
The governor-designate renewed his commitment to reducing the burden of living on civil service workers through food baskets and entering into partnerships with companies and factories in order to implement this. He also stressed support for health sector as well as to the war effort contributions.
Najat has meanwhile announced that the next fiscal year, according to the directives of the federal government, salaries will be cashed on monthly basis regularly, with the arrears for the year 2023 scheduled and disbursed during the same fiscal year.
