Khartoum Emergency to Operate 12 Wells

The Supreme Committee for Emergency and Crisis Management in Khartoum State has revealed the operation of 12 water wells, while working to maintain 44 other wells to solve the problem of drinking water in some neighborhoods.
The committee which meet on Wednesday, called for the providing maintenance materials for electricity, and also directed that fuel be provided for water and electricity emergencies.
As for the Humanitarian Aid meeting’s directive to complete the inventory of arrivals to Karari locality, each according to their original locality of residence, with the completion of the inventory of clinics and shelter homes, and to determine the real needs of the citizens.
For its part, the Economic Committee presented a report on flour, fuel and the agricultural season. The meeting directed the establishment of controls for the distribution of bakery flour with the expansion of discount sales centers through the Khartoum Food Security Company.
For his part, the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, referred to the arrangements made with UNICEF to transfer Maygoma orphanage from Madani to Kasala, stressing that no party other than UNICEF will interfere in supervising their transfer and care. The state affirmed its full responsibility towards the children, in addition to its care for the elderly nursing home in Shendi
