Hamdok’s advisor demands Hemedti be tried
Sudan Event/ Follow-ups
Amjad Farid, former presidential advisor to resigned Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok, downplayed the sudden appearance of the leader of the Rapid Support militia, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
Farid said in his tweet on the “X” platform today, Thursday, that the appearance of Hemedti alive and his current diplomatic tour does not change the reality of the war in Sudan at all, nor his reality as a criminal directly responsible for the crimes of his militias. Amjad added: Hemedti bears responsibility for the crimes of the Rapid Support Forces in El Geneina, the ethnic cleansing against the Masalit, the assassination of Khamis Abkar and the mutilation of his body, and the crimes of looting, murder and rape committed in Khartoum, Zalingei, Erdemta, the city of Wad Madani, the villages of Gezira State and the rest of Sudan. It bears responsibility for the siege on civilians in Al-Fatehab, Tuti, West Darfur, Bahri and other besieged areas.
At the end of his tweet, Amjad called for the necessity of prosecuting Hemedti, considering that there is a clear goal for international justice, which is that the militia leader is a criminal who must be tried. He is now roaming on the Emirati plane between the countries of the region and soon the world, and this fascist must be tried and held accountable wherever he goes.
